Ahhhh this is so close to my heart… for me I feel similar but more about makeup than clothes… although I also love clothes too. My pre-baby, and also pre-yoga teacher self was so excited about makeup and expression through outfits and I have so many times hidden that side of myself. I can feel her returning again though… I had a wardrobe edit years ago and it was amazing… I feel like it’s time to do it again though as I’m a million lifetimes beyond that version of myself now!!! Please share photos of your outfit after the event! Xxx

Ooo I’d love to hear about your make up journey. I’ve had to practice wearing makeup the last few weeks in order to prep for the event - and I’d forgotten so much and needed to replenish my makeup too. I’m not wearing that much and not doing anything fancy but needed something and am amazed at how vibrant an industry it is and how much more accessible it is with YouTube and TikTok etc. Oh and of course my face has changed and adjusting to a more mature look I’ve had to really look at myself more and accept that a big eye flick is not ever going to be part of my make up routine;) I’d love to read a bit about your experience at some stage xx

I love this! (And don’t forget you’re a beautiful woman, with or without the grey hairs & tired eyes.) As it happens, I too have been thinking more about clothes this year. I’d forgotten how much I love them, & had also sloped around in leggings for like centuries! But this year, I’ve come back to them, enjoying thinking about what I love to wear, & what feels genuinely good & easeful on my body, & it feels really lovely to do so. ❤️

Though I warn you, if I do see you next week, I’ll probably be wearing….leggings! Especially if it’s cold!

This is a great piece -thanks for sharing. Because I work from home I feel like I constantly live in leggings and hoodies and that I never really have time to dress up even when I do go out as I'm running from desk to transport to whatever I'm going to but it resonates with me that I'm perhaps hiding and not wanting to stand out. Definitely post the photo.

Oh I hear this too on working from home. I wonder if something practical but loveable would be good? I recently acquired a lovely warm kimono around the house which is super comfy but also elegant and makes me feel more elevated somehow in my at home garb !
